Senior Associate – US Accounting
JOB TITLE: Senior Associate – US Accounting
SHIFT TIMING: Night Shift (7pm – 4am)
POSITION TYPE: Full-Time
LOCATION: Chennai
DESCRIPTION: Senior Associate – US Accounting
US Accounting Associate is a professional responsible for assisting in the financial
activities and record-keeping of an organization. Their primary role is to support the
accounting department in various tasks, ensuring accurate and timely financial
information.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Financial Data Entry: Accurately enter financial transactions into the accounting
    system, including invoices, expense reports, and journal entries.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process and reconcile vendor invoices, ensure
    timely payment, and manage relationships with vendors. Prepare customer
    invoices, monitor accounts receivable, and follow up on overdue payments.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure that the
    company’s records match the bank statements. Investigate and resolve any
    discrepancies.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the general ledger by
    recording and reconciling various accounts, such as assets, liabilities, revenue,
    and expenses.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including
    income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Compile and
    analyze financial data to generate reports for management review.
  • Compliance and Taxation: Assist in maintaining compliance with relevant
    accounting standards, regulations, and tax requirements. Prepare and submit
    tax-related documents, such as sales tax returns and payroll tax reports.
  • Expense Analysis: Monitor and analyze expenses, identify cost-saving
    opportunities, and assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members, such as the finance
    team, accounts team, and management, to ensure smooth financial operations
    and provide necessary support.
    SKILLS &
    QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent
    experience)
  • Strong understanding of US accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software QUICKBOOKS Desktop (Mandatory)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with relevant accounting regulations and tax laws
  • Flexible to work in night shift
