Job Summary: The Site Engineer will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing construction projects from initiation to completion. Working closely with the Project Manager and project teams, the Site Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that projects are executed with precision, meeting quality standards, safety guidelines, and within the specified timelines.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Coordination:
    • Collaborate with the project management/Planning team to develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets.
    • Ensure efficient utilization of resources and adherence to project schedules.
  2. Site Management:
    • Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
    • Oversee subcontractors and monitor their performance to ensure quality workmanship.
  3. Quality Control:
    • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to meet or exceed industry standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any deviations from project specifications.
  4. Communication:
    • Serve as the liaison between project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and subcontractors.
    • Provide regular updates to the PM/VP on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
  5. Resource Management:
    • Manage and optimize the use of labour, equipment, and materials on-site.
    • Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of construction materials.
  6. Safety Compliance:
    • Enforce and promote a strong safety culture on-site.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
  7. Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and correspondence.
    • Prepare regular reports on project status, budget, and other relevant metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in civil construction projects, focus on food and pharma industry is advantage.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. (CAD, MSP, etc)
  • Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
