Job Responsibilities

• Manage lease agreements including lease abstraction, classification, and accounting treatment.
• Ensure compliance with lease accounting standards (e.g., ASC 842, IFRS 16) and regulatory requirements.
• Perform lease accounting calculations such as straight-line rent, lease liability, and right-of use asset.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including real estate, legal, and operations to review lease terms and agreements.
• Prepare and analyze lease-related financial reports and disclosures for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of lease accounting software and systems.
• Support internal and external audits related to lease accounting.
• Stay updated with changes in lease accounting standards and recommend process improvements.
• Provide training and guidance to junior team members on lease accounting principles.

Qualifications / Experience

• Bachelor’s / master’s degree in finance & accounting,
• Minimum of [2-3] years of experience in lease accounting or related roles.
• Strong understanding of lease accounting standards (ASC 842, IFRS 16) and GAAP principles.
• Proficiency in lease accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lucernex).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in retail or real estate industry is a plus. Both Roles
