Detailed Job Description –
Deep understanding of network security concepts like firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control mechanisms.
Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, routing, switching).
Installing, configuring, and deploying Fortinet firewalls, VPN gateways, and other security devices.
Defining security policies, access controls, and firewall rules based on best practices.
Implementing Fortinet’s Security Fabric to ensure comprehensive security coverage.
Using FortiAnalyzer for logging, analyzing, and reporting security events.
Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks on the network.
Optimizing network performance by tuning Fortinet device configurations and managing network traffic flow.
Proficient with ITIL v3/2011 or v4 processes (Incident Mgmt., Problem Mgmt., Change Mgmt., Request fulfillment)
Maintaining detailed network documentation including security policies, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
