Cognizant Consulting, CMT

CC CMT practice serves K12, HigherEd and Publishing segments. We work with some of the leading education companies. Our team has a mix of cross -functional skills, bringing diverse set of project experiences in industry, technology, business and product / project management skill sets. It has a proven track record of executing large and complex transformation programs. ​Some of our consultants work closely with our clients over a long period of time and become an integral part of clients’ transformation journey and their success stories. We also have consultants who work with multiple clients and follow up with the new business opportunities in digital technologies such as the cloud, the internet of things (IoT), analytics, automation, robotics, and artificial intelligence (AI).​

Role Overview

As we drive towards a merit based, high-performance culture, our focus is on inducting super charged talents into our team with high degree of commitment towards growth of our CC CMT team. We are looking for consulting professionals with experience in transformation projects and those who have a consultative mindset to address customer pain points.

Relevant Experience Levels: About 2 years – 15 years+

Locations: Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad

Education: Engineering/equivalent (mandatory), MBA (highly preferred)

Travel: Per project requirements (in line with Covid guidelines, as applicable)

Mandatory Skillsets and Experience:

Domain Knowledge

• Experience in consulting-oriented roles in education industry, business/strategy, process or technology areas
• Good understanding of key education and publishing business processes in domains /sub domains such as Content, Assessments, Rights & Royalties for K12 and HigherEd segments

Project skills

• Elicit requirements using interviews, requirements workshops, use case scenarios
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, decompose high-level information into details and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders
• Break-down an epic into user stories to be consumed by the Dev & QA team
• Experience of Agile development methodologies
• Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, VersionOne
• Acts as a liaison between the business teams, SMEs, project management and the technical team members
• Able to drive requirements related discussions independently
• Can document as-is and to-be processes
• Can work with the Product Manager to define the product roadmap/backlog
• Understanding of the feature prioritization frameworks
• Experience working in large deals and business pursuits
• Understand the industry trends, business imperatives, strategic growth areas and underlying technology trends.
• Superior English oral and writing skills
• Multi-tasking abilities
• Confident, result-oriented and can work with minimal supervision
• Possesses great analytical skills

Desirable Skillsets:

• Exposure and understanding of key digital battlegrounds such as IoT, Edge, Analytics and Cloud.

PMP / CSPO / CSM certifications are desirable
