Role:                Azure Principal Architect

Job Summary: As a Senior Azure Architect, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of sophisticated cloud solutions based on Microsoft Azure. Experience with cloud migration strategies, including lift-and-shift and cloud-native approaches. You will collaborate closely with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable, secure, and efficient cloud architectures. As an expert in Azure services and best practices, you will guide our clients through their cloud migration/transformation journey, ensuring they leverage the full potential of Azure to achieve their strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Assess existing IT environments, applications, and infrastructure to identify opportunities for cloud adoption and migration to Azure.
• Lead the architecture and design of complex cloud solutions, leveraging Microsoft Azure services and ensuring alignment with industry best practices and security standards.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements, technical challenges, and long-term objectives, proposing effective cloud strategies to meet their needs.
• Develop high-level solution blueprints, architecture diagrams, and technical specifications, guiding the implementation teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide thought leadership and technical expertise in Microsoft Azure, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements and recommending innovative solutions for our clients.
• Lead and participate in the implementation and migration of cloud solutions, providing technical guidance to development teams and ensuring successful execution.
• Perform cost optimization assessments and recommend solutions to optimize cloud spend without compromising performance and security.
• Implement security best practices, data protection mechanisms, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure the resilience of cloud-based systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps engineers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of cloud solutions.
• Mentor and train junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
• Participate in pre-sales activities, contributing to proposal development and presenting cloud solutions to prospective clients.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are preferred.
• Proven experience as an Azure Architect, leading the design and implementation of complex cloud solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure services, including virtual machines, networking, storage, security, and identity management.
• Strong expertise in cloud architecture patterns, microservices, and containerization (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
• Demonstrated ability to design scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions that align with business goals.
• Experience with cloud migration strategies, including lift-and-shift and cloud-native approaches.
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices and their integration with cloud solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills, with a collaborative and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Demonstrated experience in successfully leading and mentoring technical teams.
• A proactive and innovative mindset, with a passion for staying updated with the latest cloud trends and technologies.

Must Have:

• Must be a SME in one or more of the following streams of Azure and have the know-how and capability to lead teams technically in other streams:

• Experience in Cloud Transformation / Migrations
• Experience in Azure cloud assessment, and app modernization.
• Experience in Azure landing zone design and deployment using Microsoft cloud adoption framework.
• VM provisioning, PowerShell scripting, Dynamic and Static routing, Configuring Microsoft Internal / External Load Balancers,
• Configuring VNets, Subnets, Configuring Azure Active Directory Sync, Configuring Network Security Groups (NGS), Access Control Lists (ACL)
• Configuring NICs, Configuring High Availability of SQL Servers,
• Experience in Setting up Disaster Recovery for Cloud Environments
• Experience in Recording Machine IOPS and Allocating VM based on client workloads
• Experience in Network monitoring using tools like Fiddler and Wireshark
• Experience in Azure Backup strategy, Experience in setting up Domain Controllers, Configuring AD Application Proxy.
• Aspire to learn and be able to pick up the latest technical advances in Azure and be able to implement it
• Exceptional Communication Skills

Good to Have:

• LDAP, DirSync, AAD Sync, Azure AD, ADFS, OWIN, Graph API, Connector Space, Metaverse, setting up AD Synchronization rules, JIRA, confluence.
