To support Physical Design-related project activities for the MPU32, MCU32, WSG and CPG Business Units in Microchip. The product's focus is on 32-bit microprocessors, microcontrollers, and wireless design and implementation.

• Timing closure support to maximize process node capability.
• Clock tree setup/debug and synthesis for optimal QoR.
• General physical implementation procedures.
• Multi-voltage island-based floorplan design and support.
• Flow development and automation implementation.
• Delivering Physical Verification-clean designs.
• Die size estimation and Bond out approval.
• Interfacing with external vendors and IP sources to resolve problems.
• Working with members from international design/implementation teams.

Requirements/Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 12+ years or more applicable technical experience in the physical and timing-related aspects of IC design. The design task requires experience in the following Physical Design-related activities:

• Advanced knowledge of VLSI logic principles, clock tree synthesis & debug, and design timing closure.
  • Advanced knowledge of place and route methodologies and low power methodologies.

Job Description:

• The WSG R&D Group in Bangalore is responsible for design, implementation with pre- and post-silicon verification & validation of mixed signal Wireless devices
• Responsible for SoC verification of VLSI designs and technically manage and mentor a team of engineers.
• Actively participate in a team environment, working with verification, architecture, applications, and design teams to develop comprehensive verification plans based on the IP/Product Specification documentation.
• IP verification environment and testcase development using the methodology adapted by WSG.

Job Description:

The MCU16 microcontroller group is seeking an experienced Analog Design Manager with a strong background in analog and mixed signal CMOS IC design. The design manager will be responsible for managing a cross-site team of experienced engineers responsible for the development of high performance analog IP and its integration into MCU16’s microcontroller products.

Job duties include:

·         Manage a team comprising of analog IP designers, layout designers, I/O designers, validation engineers  and SoC analog integration engineers

·         Leading the development of power management IP (Bandgap, LDO, BUCK), opamps, high-speed data converters, PLLs, oscillators, etc

·         Mentor and develop junior engineers

·         Review layouts with strong understanding of sensitive signals, parasitics, ESD/Latchup, DRC and LVS

·         Conduct design reviews; lead meetings; write IP application notes

·         Work with customers in silicon debug; this includes working with external and internal customers as well as cross functional teams (application team, failure analysis team, and yield enhancement team)

·         Interface with and support CAD, architecture, application, product & test engineering teams

Skills/Experience/Knowledge:

• Bachelor's degree in Technology (B Tech) or  Masters in Computer Application (MCA) or related field with  minimum 6 years’ experience
• Experience with React Native Framework, and one or more native coding languages for Android (Java/Kotlin).
